Job Summary
Manage the Produce Department by directing Produce Associates, maintaining signage, and pulling/rotating inventory to ensure quality and freshness. Provide exceptional service to clientele while sharing expert produce knowledge and working with the Pricing Coordinator to maintain pricing integrity. Complete perishable inventories, verify paperwork and county of origin information, and handle weekly purchase reports. Schedule team members, monitor sales and labor, and ensure all safety guidelines, dress codes, and training requirements are followed. This full-time mid-level role requires the ability to lift 60 lb. boxes, use sharp knives, and work on floors that may become slippery.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 60 lb. boxes on occasion and/or exert 25-60 lbs. of force frequently and/or 10-20 lbs. of force constantly while moving and handling materials and products
- Must have dexterous use of both hands
- Must be able to stand and move about to various workstations
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull items so that objects move toward areas of use
- Must be able to use knives and other sharp instruments utilized in the preparation of food items and/or removing product from boxes
- Good, corrected vision
- Good, corrected hearing
- Ability to stoop
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to work on floors that sometimes become slippery
