Job Summary
Oversee department operations including perishables, center store, inventory flow, receiving, and shelf edge with independent judgment on hiring, promotions, and business decisions. Manage staffing, training, and operational audits while conducting detailed store walks to maintain inventory levels and order. Create weekly schedules, monitor Direct Store Delivery accounting, and execute merchandising plans to drive sales. Ensure food safety compliance, quality control, and customer service standards across all areas. Lead the inventory flow and recovery teams to maximize productivity and efficiencies.
Required Qualifications
- Operational / Retail Management experience
- Leadership experience in a complex environment with multiple direct reports
- Thorough understanding of retail accounting
- Experience in ordering
- inventory maintenance
- shrink control
- Leadership skills (people leadership, ownership mentality, know the business, strategic planner, adaptable)
- Interpersonal skills
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts
- Completion of H-E-B's or JVSS's Management Training Program
- Successful completion of JVSS
- H-E-B School of Retail Management SORM
- Must be able to lift moderate to heavy loads
