Job Summary
Manage daily produce operations by achieving gross profit targets, projecting sales and labor needs, and establishing work assignments and priorities for department personnel. Order product according to established guidelines, receive and unload truck deliveries, and stock, straighten, and rotate merchandise based on shelf life. Operate tools and equipment safely, including pricing and labeling items, while maintaining coolers at appropriate temperatures and performing basic housekeeping duties. Work in temperature extremes and lift items up to 50 pounds. Prepare weekly schedules, complete required forms and reports, and follow all safety policies and dress codes. Fluently speak English and work well with others.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees)
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions
- Follows dress code
- Follows written and oral instructions
- Follows established safety policies and procedures
- Works well with others
- Speak English fluently
- Ability to legibly write or print
- Eyesight corrected to 20/20
- Hearing corrected to normal range
- Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet
- Subject to pre-employment background and drug screening
