Job Summary
Achieves desired gross profit and productivity by projecting sales, ordering product, and managing daily work assignments for the produce department. Receives and unloads truck deliveries, stocks merchandise, and rotates inventory based on shelf life. Ensures coolers maintain appropriate temperatures while marking items with correct prices and performing basic housekeeping duties. Operates all required tools and equipment safely, including lifting items up to 50 pounds. Works in temperature extremes and maintains a neat, clean work area. Requires fluency in English, legible writing, and full range of motion.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees)
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions
- Follows dress code
- Follows written and oral instructions
- Follows established safety policies and procedures
- Works well with others
- Speak English fluently
- Ability to legibly write or print
- Eyesight corrected to 20/20
- Hearing corrected to normal range
- Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet
