Job Summary
Lead the Produce Team in merchandising items for weekly, promotional, and seasonal displays while managing inventory through ordering, record maintenance, and quarterly counts. Schedule department members to meet production and customer needs, assist with recruiting, and train staff to maintain high performance. Ensure company standards are met, resolve customer concerns, and maintain a clean work area. Champion the Freson Bros. brand by modeling Drive, Integrity, and Growth. Full-time role in Peace River, AB with a wage range of $45,000 - $60,000. Requires 3 years of progressive produce management experience and comfort working during peak hours.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years minimum of progressive produce department, grocery, or retail management experience
- A history of meeting financial objectives and targets in a produce or grocery environment
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong Google Suite skills and the ability to quickly learn new computer programs
- Exceptional communication, and interpersonal skills
- A passion for leading and developing others
- Effective critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
- Comfortable working during peak food-retail hours (i.e. evenings, daytime, weekends, and holidays)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50lbs
