Job Summary
Achieves desired gross profit and productivity by projecting sales, ordering product, and managing daily work assignments for the produce department. Receives and unloads truck deliveries, stocks merchandise, marks items with pricing guns, and rotates stock based on expiration dates. Ensures coolers maintain appropriate temperatures while performing basic housekeeping duties, operating tools safely, and lifting items up to 50 pounds. Works in temperature extremes with extended standing or walking. Requires fluency in English, legible writing, and 20/20 eyesight. Full range of motion and ability to follow safety policies are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lift and move items weighing over 50 pounds
- Ability to work in temperature extremes, (produce cooler maximum low temperature, 32 degrees)
- Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions
- Follows dress code
- Follows written and oral instructions
- Follows established safety policies and procedures
- Works well with others
- Speak English fluently
- Ability to legibly write or print
- Eyesight corrected to 20/20
- Hearing corrected to normal range
- Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet
