Job Summary
Produce Manager leads the Produce Department to deliver fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables while driving sales, profitability, and an exceptional customer experience. This role manages daily operations, maintains product freshness, and develops a strong team to ensure top-tier execution. Responsibilities include overseeing ordering, receiving, stocking, inventory control, ensuring product freshness and proper rotation, maintaining appealing displays, executing seasonal sets and promotions, monitoring temperature/storage conditions, delivering outstanding customer service, coaching and developing associates, creating team schedules, driving sales through freshness and in-stock conditions, controlling shrink and waste, monitoring key metrics, upholding food safety and policy compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous produce or retail management experience preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of produce handling, rotation, and merchandising
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, perishable environment
