Produce Lead Clerk

Direct and supervise all functions, duties, and activities for the Produce department, establishing performance goals and developing adequate scheduling to manage customer volume. Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, safety, and food safety regulations while reviewing and inspecting products for quality and freshness. Train and develop associates on inventory, stocking, CAO, and Key Retailing; maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and ensure price integrity including shelf tags. Implement merchandising promotional plans, monitor expenses, and utilize Fresh Insights to ensure proper sell through and shrink reduction. Offer product samples, inform customers of specials, and recommend items to ensure they get the products they want. Work in refrigerated areas for hours at a time, regularly lifting up to 50 pounds, and report all safety risks, issues, accidents, or illegal activity.
