Job Summary
Produce Helper in Food City’s Produce department providing customer-first service, stocking and rotating produce, assisting in ordering/receiving/displaying products, unloading trucks, and maintaining cleanliness and food-safety standards. Responsibilities include greeting customers, maintaining a friendly and efficient service environment, rotating merchandise for freshness, and supporting the produce manager with daily tasks. Requires on-site attendance, ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting, and lifting/unloading duties. Ideal for an entry-level candidate 18+ with reliability, teamwork, and adherence to department sanitation standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
- On-site work during scheduled shifts
- Department is to be sanitized and cleaned at least twice a day
- Keep workstation and area around workstation neat and clean
- Able to unload trucks and break down product
- Assist in ordering, receiving, and displaying all product for processing
- Rotate all merchandise when stocking to ensure freshness and quality
- Follow the company food safety program
