Job Summary
Produce Helper assists customers and supports the Produce department by helping with ordering, receiving, stocking, displaying product, and maintaining department cleanliness. Responsibilities include greeting customers, providing prompt and courteous service, rotating merchandise to ensure freshness, unloading trucks, breaking down product, preparing core produce items (e.g., core pineapples), following the company food safety program, sanitizing the department at least twice daily, keeping the workstation neat, and attending on-site during scheduled shifts to adhere to time and attendance policies. The role emphasizes teamwork, a positive and friendly environment, and support of the produce manager in managing inventory and display safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to meet standard Physical, Mental, and Visual demands
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies
