Job Summary
Deliver exceptional customer service by building rapport, responding to questions effectively, and maintaining friendly eye contact while stocking product and keeping displays according to merchandising standards. Utilize technology to complete tasks and strictly follow safety and sanitation procedures across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, and Grocery departments. Ensure quality service and products for customers while remaining calm in a fast-paced environment. This role supports Meijer's family culture as a multi-billion dollar retailer serving communities across six states.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually
- Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology
- Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary
- Process-driven with ability to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way
