Job Summary
Manage daily produce and floral department operations by ensuring consistent merchandising, product freshness, and customer service standards. Supervise team members through training, performance coaching, and schedule management while executing merchandising plans and event packs. Forecast sales, place orders, and maintain inventory levels to drive profitability and minimize shrink. Conduct quality inspections, enforce food safety and sanitation protocols, and handle product recalls or withdrawals in compliance with USDA and COOL regulations. Address customer requests, suggest products, and resolve special orders to build loyalty. Maintain accurate documentation for temperature logs and safety hazards. Work varied shifts including three to four evening prime time slots.
Required Qualifications
- High School / GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check
- Strong customer service skills
- Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Proficient with computer applications used in effectively operating the department
- Possession of Food Safety Certification or the ability to obtain same within 180 days of placement
- 3 - 6 yrs minimum" (Supervisory Experience), "Occasional" (Overnight), "Varied shifts, includes three (3) to four (4) evening (prime time) shifts each week
