Job Summary
Produce Department Clerk duties include maintaining department operations and customer relations: cost out all materials to determine proper retails, teach fundamentals of produce production (slicing, peeling, stacking, organizing, washing, finishing), and assist in maintaining department records. Requires forklift and/or pallet jack certification, food handlers permit may be required, basic math and computer skills, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and compliance with age requirements (18+; 21+ for tobacco/alcohol). Position is part-time with nights, weekends, and holidays required, operating in the Produce Department.
Required Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Pallet jack certification
- Food handlers permit (may be required)
- 18 years of age
- 21 years of age to sell tobacco products and/or alcohol
- Basic math skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lb
