Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations of your department by planning, directing, and supervising team members while delivering exceptional customer service through ordering, receiving, stocking, and displaying products. Execute ad set compliance, ensure food safety processes, and maintain cleanliness to maximize profits and meet sales goals. Assist in scheduling, staffing selection, and hiring; promote succession planning; and handle disciplinary actions. Supervise the department in the manager's absence, train team members, and resolve conflict. Review sales goals, supply costs, and shrink results to achieve P&L budgeted plans. Maintain accurate pricing and product rotation while consulting customers on consumer products. Ensure all required certifications are completed and adhere to strict attendance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or its equivalent
- 2-3 years of related retail experience
- One year of management experience
- Serv Safe Certification
- Reliable and consistent attendance
- Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise direction
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and by addressing root cause issues
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions
- Demonstrated ability to consult with customers on all areas pertaining to their department
- Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times
- Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization including team members in hourly positions
- Successful completion of all required certifications
