Job Summary

Greet customers with a friendly smile, escort shoppers to products, and load or unload heavy items while maintaining a clean, sanitized work area. Review produce for freshness, replenish inventory, rotate stock, and remove trash throughout the day. Check in products, process invoices, and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Perform simple math for pricing and handle tasks such as delivering orders or completing special projects. This role requires lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and working in temperature extremes. Hy-Vee values a helpful smile in every aisle, and this position is open to those with less than a high school diploma and up to six months of experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Less than High School or equivalent experience
  • Six months or less of similar or related work experience
  • Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
  • Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
