Job Summary
Stock newly received and back stock produce for the sales floor, ensuring the department remains well-stocked, fronted, and fresh. Greet customers, answer questions, and take special orders for produce trays and other offerings. Maintain a clean environment by sweeping, mopping, and handling dishes, while properly wrapping, packaging, weighing, and labeling various products. Assist in unloading shipments, filling sample stations, and rotating salad bar items. Consult with managers to create shift plans and record shrink. Work morning and afternoon shifts including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Basic knife skills, including cutting and chopping
- Maintain a sense of urgency and thoroughness in all aspects of the position
- Comfortable working with the public and greeting, speaking with, and assisting customers
- Attention to detail, ensuring duties are completed correctly and on time
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school education
- Must have the ability to move product by pushing/pulling carts and using manual/electric pallet jacks
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds frequently
