Job Summary
Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting shoppers, answering phones, and assisting with product retrieval. Escort customers to items, load heavy goods, and pass along suggestions to enhance the shopping experience. Review produce status and appearance for freshness, replenish stock, rotate merchandise, and ensure adequate supply. Maintain a clean work area, remove trash, and follow strict sanitation and hygiene guidelines. Check product invoices, price items, and follow production lists to anticipate daily needs. Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds, using knives and pallet jacks, and working in temperature extremes.
Required Qualifications
- Less than High School or equivalent experience
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
- Must be able to physically perform medium work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
- Vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction
- Depth perception
- Color vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors)
- Field of vision
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information
- Ability to request supplies orally or in writing
