Job Summary
Greet customers with a smile, assist with shopping needs, and answer phones promptly. Review merchandise for freshness, rotate product, and replenish inventory to maintain quality standards. Check in deliveries, review invoices, and price products as needed. Practice proper sanitation, keep work areas clean, and remove trash. Order supplies and follow Hy-Vee's dress code and hygiene standards. Pitch in with special projects and tasks as they arise.

- Basic math skills including simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and co-workers

- Ability to learn and apply proper sanitation, food safety, and department procedures
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades for food preparation
- Ability to operate a delivery vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT standards
- Ability to perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching, and bending associated with order fulfillment, POS transactions, and cleaning/sanitation duties
- Ability to handle frequent exposure to temperature extremes and dampness
- Ability to handle possible equipment movement hazards, electrical equipment, and cleaning chemicals and solvents
- Willingness to complete a pre employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Less than high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted
- Six months or less of similar or related work experience
