Job Summary
Engage with guests in-person and via phone to assist with item finding, orders, and special requests while addressing concerns. Maintain stock levels and display standards by rotating products using the first-in, first-out method to ensure freshness. Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organized, and free of spills, and log temperatures, rotation sheets, and shrink daily. Ensure supplies like roll bags and twist ties are stocked and order dips, spices, and herbs as needed. Perform other duties to support the team and honor attendance commitments with timely notice for absences. Work part-time for 28 hours or less across weekdays, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment requiring lifting up to 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Full range of upper body motion
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
- Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Apply on-the-job safety training to recognize and react to possible safety hazards on store premises
- Utilize the following equipment: trash compactor, baler, slicers, etc
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
