Job Summary
Engage with guests in-person and via phone by assisting them in finding items, taking orders, and addressing concerns. Maintain stock levels and display standards while rotating products using the first-in, first-out method to ensure freshness. Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organize items, log temperatures, and complete daily rotation and shrink recording sheets. Ensure produce supplies like roll bags and twist ties are stocked and order dips, spices, and herbs as needed. Perform other duties to support the team and maintain regular attendance with adequate notice for occasional absences. Work part-time shifts of 28 hours or less, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays, in a fast-paced environment requiring occasional lifting of 50 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Full range of upper body motion
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
