Job Summary
Engage with guests in-person and via phone by assisting with item selection, taking orders, and addressing concerns. Maintain stock levels and display standards while rotating products using the first-in, first-out method to ensure freshness. Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organized, and free of spills, logging temperatures and completing rotation sheets daily. Ensure supplies like roll bags and twist ties are stocked and order dips, spices, and herbs as needed. Perform other duties to support the team and provide regular, timely attendance with adequate notice for absences. This part-time role offers 28 hours or less per week with varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Full range of upper body motion
- Must be able to work at a fast pace
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures
- Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies
- Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule
- Adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences
