Job Summary
Engage with guests in-person and via phone to assist with item finding, orders, and special requests while addressing concerns professionally. Maintain stock levels by rotating products using the first-in, first-out method and ensuring displays meet company standards. Keep the sales floor and cooler clean, organized, and free of spills, logging temperatures and completing daily rotation and shrink recording sheets. Ensure supplies like roll bags and twist ties are stocked and order dips, spices, and herbs as needed. Perform other duties to support the team and provide timely attendance for occasional absences. This part-time role offers 28 hours a week or less across weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage with guests and provide outstanding service.
- Communication: Good oral and written communication skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Full range of upper body motion.
- Must be able to work at a fast pace.
- Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
