Job Summary
Produce Clerk responsibilities include greeting, assisting, and ringing up customers; maintaining perishables standards and safety procedures; ensuring pricing accuracy and expiration checks; monitoring cooler/freezer temperatures; organizing and displaying products with seasonal adjustments; preparing backroom for merchandise receipt and verifying invoices; performing price changes, PLU maintenance, and labeling for items without UPC codes; handling damaged/unsalable items and returns; and upholding health, safety, and store policy knowledge in a fast-paced grocery environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Prior experience with produce in a grocery setting
- Lift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezer
- Basic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)
