Job Summary
Provide customer service in a friendly, professional manner in the Produce Department, maintaining a well-stocked, clean, and appealing display; handle inquiries, orders, special orders, and returns while following health regulations and department standards. Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing returns and special requests, managing inventory and signage, ensuring food safety and proper handling per DOH/FDA guidelines, preparing and displaying produce cuts per program recipes, collaborating with the Produce Manager/Shift Leader on ordering, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment with strong communication and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Food Handler’s Certificate within 10 days of employment
- Ability to understand and follow Department of Health regulations
- Strong communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Previous produce experience preferred
- Ability to read and understand recipes
- Ability to perform basic math for recipe measurement
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
