Job Summary
Receive and unload produce deliveries, then stock, rotate, and restock fresh and prepared produce to ensure freshness and date control. Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleaning equipment and utensils, while operating department tools safely. Greet, assist, and thank customers promptly, offering product suggestions and answering questions about items. Comply with food safety regulations, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management of theft or policy violations. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and understanding checkout procedures. Perform other duties as assigned, including stocking and cleaning, while adhering to all safety programs.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Customer service experience
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred
- Knowledge of produce items and their seasonality
- Excellent Customer Service Attitude and Skills
- Strong communication skills
