Job Summary
Receive and unload produce deliveries, stock, rotate fresh and prepared produce, and maintain a clean, organized work area. Greet, assist, and thank customers while offering product suggestions and ensuring freshness through proper date control. Operate department equipment safely, comply with food safety regulations, and report unsafe conditions or policy violations to management. Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. This locally owned full-service grocery store emphasizes community connection, integrity, and safe workplace practices.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Ability to understand and follow instructions
- Customer service experience
- Ability to handle stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills
- Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or grocery environment preferred
- Knowledge of produce items and their seasonality
- Excellent Customer Service Attitude and Skills
- Strong communication skills
