Job Summary
Greet customers warmly, assist with produce needs, and share product knowledge while ensuring department standards for freshness, rotation, and refrigeration are consistently met. Set and reset sales areas, unload deliveries, verify invoices, and manage inventory orders at the Produce Manager's discretion. Coordinate salad bar and juice bar operations, train new employees, and instruct team members on daily tasks. Resolve customer and vendor issues promptly, assume management duties during the Department Manager's absence, and maintain strict sanitation and safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing 100 pounds or more, with or without mechanical assistance
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar material-handling equipment (required operator certification must be completed prior to independent use)
- Ability to safely use sharp knives and blades to cut, trim, or grind product
- Ability to unload, lift, stock, and rotate incoming truck freight and merchandise
- Ability to work in cooler or freezer environments for extended periods
- Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with dough mixing, scaling, and proofing
- Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre employment drug screen
Desired Qualifications
- Food safety training encouraged
- Over one year of similar or related experience preferred
