PRODUCE 2ND

Produce 2nd assists the Produce Manager in overseeing department operations, including scheduling, training, ordering, inventory control, and supervising staff. Responsible for supervising and training the Produce team, verifying vendor invoices, maintaining inventory for freshness and shrinkage control, coordinating merchandising and displays, ensuring proper receiving, pricing, and restocking procedures, and upholding department sanitary standards. Requires advanced knowledge of produce products and operations, familiarity with retail stocking and health/safety regulations, and strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Must be physically capable of stocking and standing for extended periods, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Education and experience include High school diploma or equivalent and over five years of Produce experience with supervisory duties.
