Job Summary
Lead the Procurement department, managing all activities for supplying goods required for HKN Hamrin's field in accordance with HKN and NOC policies. Oversee the full tendering cycle from prequalification through final delivery, resolving warranty issues and due diligence processes while ensuring FCPA compliance. Liaise with the Dallas legal department on contractual matters and coordinate with other departments for tender issuance and evaluation. Direct the team in delivering value and mitigating risk through effective planning, sourcing, and management, while developing departmental capabilities to meet international standards. Prepare weekly reports for management and maintain transparent, auditable documentation using database and filing systems.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum fifteen (15) years' experience supporting oil company operations in a procurement management role
- Experience in formulating and negotiating framework agreements with suppliers for provision of goods required for Oil Production Operations
- Experience in procuring major items of equipment required for the crude oil production process
- Demonstrated leadership and self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage staff
- Substantive proven experience across all aspects of the procurement lifecycle, including resolution of contractual disputes
- Strong legal and commercial acumen
- Working proficiency in English sufficient to prepare reports and correspond with international stakeholders
- Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Good analytical skills
- High level of competency with the Microsoft suite of applications
- Preferably educated to degree level in an appropriate field
