Job Summary
Procurement Team Lead responsible for directing a functional procurement team to deliver transactional purchasing, e-sourcing, data management, and reporting. Ensure adherence to quality and commercial procedures, drive cost, quality, delivery, and working-capital improvements, and manage the implementation, operation, and performance of supply chain systems. Lead root-cause investigations and propose process improvements; role reports to Planning & Fulfillment Manager and operates on-site in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico. Requires a bachelor's degree in an engineering field, 8+ years of procurement leadership experience, direct purchasing expertise, SAP MM/PP, Excel, Power BI proficiency, and experience managing large buyer teams; APICS CPIM and Lean/Gree Belt certifications are a plus; strong English proficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial, or related engineering field
- 8+ years of experience in procurement-related roles such as procurement team lead or senior buyer
- Experience in direct purchasing
- Familiarity with contract manufacturing
- Experience with SAP ERP (MM & PP)
- Experience with Excel and Power BI
- Experience leading teams of 10+ buyers
- APICS CPIM certification preferred
- Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
- Green Belt certification a plus
- Advanced English proficiency
