Job Summary
Procurement Specialist role located in Elkton, MD with a hybrid work arrangement. Responsible for developing and executing category strategies, onboarding new suppliers/contract manufacturers, managing supplier risk, ensuring compliance with procurement processes, driving cost and inventory reductions, and supporting cross-functional teams including R&D/NPD. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or 15 years of equivalent procurement experience), at least 5 years in procurement, SAP procurement proficiency, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to work independently with travel up to 10%. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, business or related field OR 15 years relevant procurement experience in lieu of education
- Minimum of 5 years functional experience in Procurement
- Experience with supplier relationship management
- Proficient in SAP (procurement functions)
- Proven contract negotiation skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage ambiguity
- Ability to travel locally up to 10%
