Job Summary
Procurement Specialist to source materials for manufacturing operations, manage purchasing, and ensure continuous material flow. Responsibilities include sourcing and procuring raw materials, evaluating supplier performance, creating and managing purchase orders in ERP/MRP systems, collaborating with production planning, engineering, and quality teams, maintaining vendor records and price lists, negotiating long-term supply agreements, tracking orders and expediting as needed, supporting cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring ISO/AS or other quality management system compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- 3–7 years’ purchasing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor, Infor, or JD Edwards).
- Understanding of supply chain logistics, inventory management, and production planning.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- APICS or CPSM certification is a plus.
