Job Summary
Execute procurement activities supporting stellarator/Infinity program development and manufacturing by creating purchase orders, managing supplier quotations, and sourcing technical components and instrumentation. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes for cost, lead time, and technical capability, then expedite critical orders and manage delivery commitments. Maintain accurate records within ERP systems, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams, and track supplier performance while assisting with contract administration and onboarding. Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and generate reports on spend and delivery metrics. Report to the Senior Director of Supply Chain in a hybrid role in Knoxville, TN, for a permanent full-time position with competitive compensation and stock options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience
- Experience managing purchase orders and supplier communications
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Familiarity with ERP or procurement systems
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment

- Contract: Permanent, full time
- Reporting to: Senior Director of Supply Chain
Desired Qualifications
- Experience procuring materials or equipment for aerospace, energy, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, defense, or research organizations
- Understanding of engineered-to-order or low-volume/high-complexity hardware environments
- Knowledge of supplier quality requirements and contract terms
- APICS, CPSM, CPM, or similar certification
