Job Summary
Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services while managing open commitments from bid process to issuance. Coordinate supplier documents including change orders, support supplier qualification requirements for contracts and pricing, and ensure proper electronic storage of records. Identify and prepare cost savings and avoidance reports, then represent the company in recurring supplier meetings for account overviews. This role supports procurement needs across Strike's Gulf Coast Region and requires onsite presence in Spring or Baytown, TX.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of relevant procurement experience
- Previous experience in a construction, energy services and/or project management environment
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Sponsorship not available
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Procurement certification from accredited institution
- Some travel
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Regularly required to sit, talk and hear
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms to grasp
- Frequently required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
