Job Summary
Procurement Specialist responsible for providing purchasing assistance across departments, acting as SME for the full procure-to-pay lifecycle. Key duties include prioritizing and managing multiple priorities, guiding complex purchase requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, equipment, and services, using ERP systems to process orders and verify pricing via contract tools (including CLM, GPO), reviewing quotes, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and supporting improvements to purchasing procedures. Requires strong communication with internal/external stakeholders, ability to analyze information, develop solutions, and meet purchasing goals. Healthcare industry experience and Workday proficiency are highly valued; remote-work capability is noted and preparation for a remote work environment is emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in finance, accounting, or business management (preferred)
- 4+ years of contracted and purchased services and blanket purchase order experience
- 3 years healthcare purchasing agent experience (Required)
- 3 years Healthcare Procurement Software Systems/ERP experience (Required)
- Experience with Workday strongly preferred
- Experience managing purchase orders, blanket purchase orders, and vendor contracts
- Experience working in a healthcare supply chain environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of contract terms and purchasing standards
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment
