Job Summary
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure materials meet specifications and timelines while monitoring supplier performance through audits, onboarding, and evaluations. Manage the department budget efficiently, analyze industry trends and cost fluctuations to support sourcing strategies, and contact suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve shortages. Maintain accurate records of projects and supplier communications, inspect purchased item quality, and prepare comprehensive inventory reports for materials and assets. Participate in supplier process audits, implement cost-minimization strategies, and develop contingency plans to ensure timely project requirements are met.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years' experience with material / vendor management
- Must be proficient with MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience in project planning and operations
- Understanding shipping and logistics
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management or a similar field preferred, but not required
- Experience with seating manufacturing
- Automotive manufacturing experience
- SAP experience
