Job Summary
Identify program procurement needs, conduct market research to compare supplier offers, and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms. Prepare requisitions and purchase orders, track functional metrics to reduce expenses, and develop strategies while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Ensure all items meet quality standards, manage supplier performance for compliance, and resolve grievances. Forecast price trends, implement risk management for supply contracts, and review procurement policies. This contingent role requires a TS/SCI clearance with Poly eligibility and at least five years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 7 years with an Associates
- Minimum of 3 years with master's degree
- Minimum of 9 years with no degree
- Proven work experience as a procurement specialist or manager
- Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques
- Dexterity in reading the market
- Talent in negotiation and networking
- Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
- Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
- Experience in collecting and analyzing data
- Strong leadership capabilities
- Ability to work independently and take initiative to do what is needed to achieve learning goals
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate with individuals at many different levels from within and from outside of the organization
- US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance
