Job Summary
Engage with Group teams to define sourcing strategies, lead RFx processes, and build consolidated supplier bases. Negotiate commercial agreements, manage supplier performance, and identify spend consolidation opportunities to unlock savings. Draft procurement policies, support audit requests, and migrate spend from legacy platforms to improve compliance. Provide clear reporting on category strategy and value improvement opportunities to the Group Procurement Manager. This hands-on role requires 4–5 years of strategic sourcing experience and MCIPS preference. Join Mukuru to drive measurable business impact through strategic procurement governance.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma
- A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Commerce, Business, or a related field
- 4–5 years' experience in strategic sourcing or category management within a structured procurement function
- Hands-on exposure to commercial negotiation, SOP and governance work, supplier relationship management, total cost of ownership analysis, and multi-entity or Group spend
- Strategic sourcing and category management
- RFx processes, market analysis, demand aggregation and spend consolidation
- Contract negotiation, drafting and commercial management
- Total cost of ownership and total landed cost modelling
- Supplier relationship management, including segmentation, performance and risk management
- Procurement governance, including SOPs, policies and Delegation of Authority
- Experience with P2P platforms such as Fraxion and ERP systems
- Strong commercial judgement and spend analysis capability
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to influence without direct authority
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
