Job Summary
Manage the end-to-end procurement process for inventory, supplies, and operational purchases by preparing, issuing, and tracking purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely fulfillment. Maintain appropriate inventory levels, monitor purchasing trends, and forecast requirements based on sales demand to minimize shortages and excess stock. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors by negotiating pricing, delivery schedules, and purchasing agreements, while resolving discrepancies, shipment delays, and invoice issues. Coordinate with warehouse, sales, customer service, and operations teams to support inventory availability and ensure procurement activities follow company policies. Analyze purchasing data to identify cost savings and process improvements, staying current on supplier markets and industry developments.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management
- Strong understanding of purchasing processes, vendor management, and inventory control
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Comfortable working with purchasing systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal departments
- Self-motivated, dependable, and committed to delivering high-quality results
- Professional approach with strong relationship-building skills
