Job Summary
Coordinate procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies. Provide accurate delivery schedules and supplier flexibility information to Business Units. Make daily commitments for new orders and change orders while managing inventory levels against dollar value goals. Review MRP and manufacturing schedules daily, write and sign requisitions and purchase orders, and run scheduled receipts for expediting. Enter orders for rejected item returns and provide input on supplier ratings based on on-time deliveries and customer service. Manage standard costing documentation and maintain professional cooperation while following all company policies and safety initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
