Job Summary

Place Purchase Orders and manage supply dates to support the IMAX manufacturing schedule and service requirements. Create Purchase Orders based on manufacturing schedule and MRP demand, then contact suppliers to confirm delivery dates and negotiate improvements. Update and maintain accurate product delivery dates in the MRP system while building business relationships and following up on past due orders. Assist in developing supplier agreements, implementing cost reduction strategies, and resolving receiving, payment, or paperwork issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery and product quality. This role supports the global entertainment technology leader's mission to power awe-inspiring experiences for audiences worldwide.

Required Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (materials management, supply chain, business, engineering)
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
  • MRP/ERP experience required (SAP preferred)
  • Intermediate level MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • A strong team-player
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams
  • Highly energized, results-oriented problem solver who demonstrates a high level of initiative
  • Dedicated to process re-engineering through innovation, resourcefulness and adaptability

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize changing demands

Desired Qualifications

  • Industry certifications considered an asset (SCMP, CSCMP, CPIM, CSCP, CCLP, etc.)
  • SAP experience
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams is preferred
