Procurement Specialist II (Supply Chain Buyer)

Job Summary
Develop sourcing strategies, evaluate product offerings, and negotiate favorable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers. Gathers business requirements, identifies and pre-qualifies potential suppliers, and develops and distributes RFPs/RFQs to collect bids. Evaluates proposals based on offering quality and cost to recommend best-suited suppliers, then works with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements. May oversee tactical purchasing operations, including the issuance of purchase orders and payment of invoices, while ensuring all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations such as FAR/DFARS. Requires an Associate's Degree and 2-4 years of experience; proficient in Microsoft Office and IFS software. No travel likely.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
