Job Summary
Procurement Specialist II collaborates with Procurement Managers on procurement projects including RFx processes, contract management reviews, and supply chain initiatives; conducts advanced financial analysis and models proposals using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to create communication summaries. Key duties include strategic planning, sourcing strategy development, opportunities assessment, competitive bidding, supplier performance management, supplier relationship management, contract development and negotiation, and governance of standard templates for procurement documentation. The role requires strong stakeholder management, ability to manage multiple projects, and expertise in MS Office applications, with emphasis on English communication and team collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- University graduation or professional certification
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Procurement field
- Knowledge of strategic sourcing requirements and practices
- Ability to develop and execute category management strategies and plans
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to develop and execute supplier contract agreements
- Advanced analytical and problem solving skills
- Computer proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to build and manage relationships with various stakeholders
- Advanced influence, persuasion and negotiation skills
- Has in-depth knowledge in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
- Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective on existing solutions
- Works independently; receives minimal guidance
- May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or have accountability for ongoing activities or objectives
- Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience
- May represent the level at which career may stabilize for many years or even until retirement
