Job Summary
Procurement Specialist responsible for reviewing MRP requirements, issuing and amending purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers on price and terms, developing supplier relationships, maintaining ERP data (safety stocks, reorder points, item master data, lead times), and coordinating with Operations, Sales, Finance, Receiving to resolve purchasing/planning problems. Also supports expediting/de-expediting, supplier quality and delivery improvements, RFQ evaluation, potential supplier sourcing, month-end duties, audits, and related data-entry tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (Business Management preferred) or equivalent of 5 years of experience in procurement
- 3-5 years minimum experience
- APICS, CPM OR CPSM Certification preferred
- ERP experience, NetSuite preferred
- Strong MS Office skills and PC proficiency
