Procurement Specialist

Job Summary
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for mechanical, electrical, electronic, and structural components while managing purchase requisitions and converting them into purchase orders using ERP systems. Source materials and services to balance cost, quality, and lead time, ensuring timely delivery for production schedules and new product development. Monitor supplier commitments and resolve issues related to delivery delays, part shortages, and quality discrepancies. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics teams to identify alternative materials, support supplier audits, and implement cost-saving opportunities through value engineering and commercial negotiations. Maintain accurate procurement records and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across sourcing and supply chain processes.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of procurement and sourcing processes, including supplier selection, purchasing, negotiation, and supplier management
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Fabrication
- Machining
- Casting
- Electronics manufacturing
- Knowledge of should-costing and cost breakdown analysis
- Familiarity with supplier audits and supplier performance management
- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and other cross-functional teams
- Ability to work effectively in a 100% onsite environment in Evendale, Ohio
