Job Summary
Procurement Specialist sought by Stirling Council to support the Corporate Procurement function through strategic and operational procurement activities, delivering best value across city, towns and communities. You will part of a team delivering strategic sourcing for specific spend categories, achieving savings targets while maintaining quality and service levels. As a subject matter expert, you will support and monitor strategic commissioning and procurement, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and contribute to meeting local needs. The role reports to a Category Manager and requires creative thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and strong communication. Level 1 Disclosure check is required if progressed to interview. Hybrid working arrangements are available where the role allows. Required Qualifications
- Experience in procurement and contracting in public sector preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to deliver strategic sourcing and savings targets
- Knowledge of legal/regulatory procurement requirements
- Disclosure check at Level 1 or equivalent
- Flexibility to work hybrid in a council environment
