Job Summary

Procurement Specialist responsible for delivering supply chain services across multiple Ontario facilities, including Napanee, Toronto, and Oakville. Duties include reviewing proposals for completeness and commercial appropriateness, drafting and issuing RFx documents (RFQs, RFPs, RFIs), negotiating contracts and achieving cost savings, maintaining commodity contracts, monitoring market trends and supplier performance, and supporting the purchasing function with reports and analytics. Requires handling procurement for goods, services, and engineered equipment, ensuring compliance with provincial trade agreements, and traveling to fleet locations as needed. Candidate should have a university diploma in a related field, professional procurement designation is a strong asset, strong Excel and SharePoint skills, and experience with procurement processes (POs, PRs, RFQs). The role emphasizes collaboration with internal stakeholders, supplier relationship management, attention to detail, adaptability, and effective communication. This position is located at Atura Power facilities in Ontario with in-person remote option and allows placement across Napanee, Toronto, or Oakville.

Required Qualifications

  • Relevant university diploma required (e.g., Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, B.Comms)
  • Professional designation such as CIPS and NISCL-MCIPS considered a strong asset
  • Computer Skills: Fully Microsoft Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel, and intermediate SharePoint knowledge
  • Maximo experience considered an asset
  • Experience with mid-level procurement (POs, PRs, RFQs)
  • Basic understanding of project management and business concepts an asset
  • Basic understanding of document management an asset
  • Willingness to learn new skills, concepts, and technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to communicate and work with all levels and departments of the organization
  • Ability to give and receive professional feedback
  • Adaptability to change
  • Ability to work within challenging work environments, to recognize and de-escalate conflict
  • Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Travel to various Atura facilities occasionally
