Job Summary
Maintain sterility during operating room procedures and perform organ back table functions, including renal pulsatile perfusion, cannulation, and biopsy recovery. Assist with post-mortem care, manage UNOS packaging guidelines, and collaborate with Donor Services and facilities teams to ensure adequate supply levels. Perform off-site recoveries, represent Infinite Legacy at recovery sites, and serve as a training resource for new specialists. Complete required data entry, equipment preparation, and mandatory clinical training while adhering to strict safety and standard operating procedures. Requires ability to work 24/7/365 rotating shifts, lift 50+ pounds, and travel throughout the Donor Service Area.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of insurance
- Ability to be insurable under Infinite Legacy's master policy
- Ability to utilize proper body mechanics to independently lift objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds
- Ability to function for extended hours occasionally up to 24-hours plus
- Ability to work and/or take calls seven days a week, 24 hours a day when operations require
- Ability to travel throughout Infinite Legacy's Donor Service Area
- Strict compliance with the hospital's identification and attire policy
Desired Qualifications
- College work in Biology or similar coursework
- One year of healthcare experience in a clinical setting
- Some knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and human anatomy
- Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly while managing and prioritizing deadlines
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take direction to work independently or collaboratively with key stakeholders during times of crisis or high stress
