Job Summary
Procurement Project Manager responsible for preparing, coordinating and executing the purchasing programs and procedures for the project; works with senior leadership and major vendors to ensure program objectives are met and stay on schedule; develops the purchasing needs, legal requirements, and product specifications; prepares RFPs including scope of work, bill of quantities, schedule, contract, budget, specs, and attachments; establishes procurement plans to define expectations and align stakeholders; analyzes proposals and conducts price/availability analysis; negotiates with subs, vendors, and suppliers to secure best price/value; creates comparisons and reports in Insite for approvals and document control; manages contract changes and ensures appropriate documentation; emphasizes knowledge of engineering principles and construction project management, material take-offs, and ability to read construction drawings; requires strong Excel and Word skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction science, or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in construction contract negotiation/estimating
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience of progressive responsibility in similar positions
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
