Procurement Process Manager

Job Summary
Structure and revise P2P workflows and queues to drive efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and ensure strict SOX compliance. Own process controls, run compliance reports, and act as the definitive face of operations for internal and external auditors. Lead and mentor a team of two procurement professionals while overseeing vendor risk management programs, including risk tiering and ongoing monitoring. Serve as the system administrator and super user for current tools like Zip and Navan, while evaluating and migrating new platforms into the enterprise ecosystem. Build relationships with US and global stakeholders to drive change and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. Develop training materials and conduct workshops to guide internal teams on system utilization and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in business, Operations, Information Systems, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in procurement process, systems administration, and governance
- Deep expertise in process governance, establishing controls, running compliance reports, and successfully managing internal and external SOX audits
- A strong background in vendor risk management, including implementing and managing risk tiering methodologies
- A proven track record of designing, revising, and optimizing complex P2P workflows and queues to measurably improve cycle times and user experience
- Demonstrated experience integrating new procurement software into a larger enterprise ERP ecosystem, with the agility to manage complex platform migrations and transitions
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated success in advising, convincing, and working effectively with US-based stakeholders
- The ability to influence and manage cross-functional teams and initiatives without formal authority
- Hands-on expertise acting as a system administrator or super user for modern procurement and spend management platforms
- Demonstrated experience implementing AI use cases within procurement to drive automation, efficiency, or deeper data insights - AI Generalist Skills such as Prompt Engineering, Workflow Automation, No-Code Product Development, MCP Integration etc
- Experience navigating and driving change in a hybrid culture that balances startup agility with corporate structure
- An 'ownership' mindset and a natural 'learn and be curious' attitude
- This is a hybrid role with 2 days per week in the Chennai office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a multinational or high-growth technology company
- Exposure to SOX-compliant or US-listed organizations
- A Six Sigma certification (Green or Black Belt) or strong practical experience applying lean methodologies to process optimization
